5.1 Installation
This section provides information for installing with or without (manual) the MapRInstaller, installing patches, upgrading, and migrating.

  The MapR Installer makes the installation of a MapR cluster easy. It installs MapR software after it takes you through the process of selecting services and configuring the cluster.

Pre-Upgrade Steps for Oozie

About this task

You need to back up configuration files if you made configuration changes that you want to carry over to the next version.

Procedure

Stop any jobs or coordinators that are in a RUNNING or SUSPENDED state.
Copy the files in /opt/mapr/oozie/oozie-<version>/conf/ to a location outside the MapR installation. After upgrading, you can reapply changes to the updated Oozie installation using the backup.
