5.1 Installation
This section provides information for installing with or without (manual) the MapRInstaller, installing patches, upgrading, and migrating.

  The MapR Installer makes the installation of a MapR cluster easy. It installs MapR software after it takes you through the process of selecting services and configuring the cluster.

  MapR patches are version-specific and cumulative. Each patch contains the code fixes that were included in the previous patch for that MapR version.

To view cluster status using the web interface

Procedure

Log in to the MapR Control System.
Under the Cluster group in the left pane, click Dashboard.
Check the Services pane and make sure each service is running the correct number of instances, according to your cluster plan.
