Worker Configuration

This section describes how and where to configure workers.

Whether you’re running standalone or distributed mode, Kafka Connect workers are configured by passing a properties file containing any required or overridden options as the first parameter to the worker process.

The following sections list configuration options grouped by common, standalone, and distributed options.

  • Common Worker Configuration Options - This topic provides the parameters that can be set in either standalone or distributed mode. These control basic functionality like which Kafka cluster to communicate with and what format data you are working with.
  • Standalone Worker Configuration Options – This topic provides the parameters used for only the standalone worker.
  • Distributed Worker Configuration Options – This topic provides the parameters used for only the distributed worker. The next two sections list settings specific to standalone or distributed mode.
Note: Non-distributed mode is not available in version 2.0.1-1611 of Kafka Connect for MapR Streams.
